AN ORB (O-ring) to AN Male Adapter Fitting
Straight adapter with male ORB (O-ring boss) on one side and a male AN flare on the other. CNC-machined, black-anodized aluminum for a durable, corrosion-resistant connection in modern fuel and transmission systems.
What’s included
- 1 × AN ORB → AN male straight adapter — select your ORB size and AN size
Sold individually. Choose the ORB size to match your port (filter, regulator, rail, pump) and the AN size to match your hose end.
Ideal for
- Fuel filters & regulators (ORB bodies) to AN hose
- Fuel rails with ORB ports to AN feed/return
- Transmission coolers & pumps adapting ORB ports to AN lines
Note: For fuel and transmission fluid systems. Not for brake or power steering.
ORB thread size quick chart
ORB Dash | Thread (UN/UNF straight) | Common Matches |
---|---|---|
-02 ORB | 5/16-24 | Small sensors, limited use |
-03 ORB | 3/8-24 | Niche fuel/aux ports |
-04 ORB | 7/16-20 | Small regulators/rails |
-05 ORB | 1/2-20 | Occasional filter/reg |
-06 ORB | 9/16-18 | Very common fuel rail/regulator/filter ports |
-08 ORB | 3/4-16 | High-flow filter/regulator bodies |
-10 ORB | 7/8-14 | Pumps, surge tanks, coolers |
-12 ORB | 1-1/16-12 | Large filter heads, high-flow regs |
-16 ORB | 1-5/16-12 | Big pump/cooler manifolds |
-20 ORB | 1-5/8-12 | Very large manifolds/tanks |
Tip: ORB uses a straight thread and an O-ring to seal in the port. The AN side seals at the 37° flare—no thread sealant on either side.
- Leak-resistant: ORB O-ring seal on Side A, AN flare seal on Side B
- Cleaner plumbing: go ORB-to-AN in one step—no clumsy stacks
- PTFE-ready: pairs perfectly with Hot Rod AN PTFE hose & ends
- Durable finish: black-anodized aluminum, use aluminum AN wrenches
- Confirm your port’s ORB dash size (see chart) and select the matching adapter.
- No sealant on ORB or AN flare. Lightly oil the O-ring; hand-start threads; torque until the O-ring seats.
- On the AN side, keep hose size consistent with your system. For EFI, run a 10 micron or finer (≤10 μm) filter on the pressure side and pressure-test after assembly.
PTFE hose tip: wrap the cut area tightly with tape before shearing; remove tape after seating the olive/ferrule. Full guide: PTFE Hose & AN Fittings Install Instructions.
